This is the final Photo of the Team in Genova after arrival and before fare-well of Michael.
After a splendid welcome in Milano we made it to Genova yesterday, where we had a wonderful reception at the Institut Gaslini by Prof. Martini and colleagues.
We arrived in Splügen today early evening after a marvellous day coming from Zürich. Until the final climb of 1000hm it almost felt like in the Netherlands (concerning flatness of the route)!
Except from our arrival in Zürich during rush hour this was the most beatiful tour so far particularly in the outscirts of the Black Forest (Markgräfler Land). In Zürich we were hosted by Elvira Cannizzaro and her team from the Kispi together with colleagues from adult rheuatology (Oliver Distlers team) with a marvelous Apero! Thank you, Elvira and Kispi-Team!
Auf der Tour von Heidelberg nach Baden-Baden wurden wir von Kinderrheumatologin Sonja Mrusek und Mitarbeitern mit einem tollen Mittagessen bewirtet!
The weather was beautiful on our 4th day, which made it much easier for us to visit Sonja Mrusek in Baden-Baden and to arrive in Freiburg after very long 230km. We were accompanied by Max Walscheid from Team Giant-Alpecin until Karlsruhe.
In Freiburg we had a wonderful welcome by pediatric rheumatologist Maria Haller and the Rheuma-League. Thank you!
We had a wonderful ride from Koblenz to Heidelberg with a great welcome in Heidelberg by the team of Dr. Grulich-Henn and Thomas Lutz. Johannes Pfeil from his team will join us until Splügen! Welcome Johannes.
We arrived in St Augustin on Tuesday. Unfortunately Jo Peitz was unabe to join the tour
After a perfect start in Aachen we visited Gerd Horneff and Jo Peitz in St. Augustin before heading towards Koblenz.
We had a phantastic start of the tour today with 18 participants and more than hundert waving goobye in Utrecht. There were also 3 camera teams including nation-wirde heart van Nederland!
Since there is a reconstruction on the road towards the Gotthard, which cannot be passed by bike (obligatory use of bus instead), we decided to change the route and will go via the Splügen to Como and Milan.
Rasmus Lüthje from Chugai Pharma will join us from Koblenz to Heidelberg and from Zürich to Como during 3 stages! Welcome!
Am Montag startet die erste Etappe von Utrecht nach Aachen. Verfolgen Sie die Berichterstattung in unserem Blog!

Max Walscheid will join us for one stage from Koblenz to Heidelberg!
